Dr. Pals grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University from 1990 to 1997, earning a BS in veterinary sciences and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). From 1998 to 2011, he practiced veterinary medicine in Muskegon and Spring Lake, Michigan.
He went on a 2 year missions trip in 2011 and 2012 and taught biology and general science classes at an American International School in Kigali, Rwanda. While there, he went on safari and was able to hike to see one of the live gorilla families that inhabit the Virunga Mountains.
In the spring of 2013, he moved to middle Tennessee and absolutely loves the warmer southern weather compared to Michigan. He has worked at Giles County Animal Hospital since August 2013, and liked the area so much that in April of 2014 he purchased GCAH.
He loves to hike, travel, teach his daughters’ class at church, and spend time with friends and family.
